Approach
The Foundation has been entrusted with the primary obligation to maintain and nurture our special, environmental status.
To this end, we will
- measure Noosa’s progress towards achieving sustainable development, and publicly report the results;
- encourage the pursuit and implementation of ‘big ideas’ to restore, maintain or enhance our environment;
- urge co-operation among community associations, education institutions, regulators and related stakeholders in the generation and implementation of these ‘big ideas’;
- provide “seed” funding where appropriate for the projects arising from these ideas;
- inspire Noosa residents to live in ways that don’t further compromise Noosa’s ‘special qualities’, and educating visitors to do so too;
- raise funds to support achievement of these objectives.
Our primary tools are facilitation and advocacy.
