Permeco PermaFest
Two whole days of Permaculture immersion on 19 and 20 November 2022, with a music workshop and performance on Saturday night! This event is alcohol, drug and smoke free.
The Introduction to Permaculture runs over two days at the self sufficient Kendall Permaculture Farm and is taught by international permaculture teacher and consultant Tom Kendall! This course will introduce you to the Ethics and Principles of Permaculture and will firmly plant you (pun intended) on your permaculture journey.
To create a festival atmosphere and provide community building activities, the Introduction to Permaculture course is complemented by a one hour Marimba for Beginners workshop by Hitty Hitty Bang Bang! followed by a performance by world fusion dance band Nizami. Nizami combines EDM beats with high energy percussive world fusion creating a forest of sounds to feast your ears and move your feet to! Marimbas are happy and warm sounding instruments and the driving, high energy upbeat rhythms will make you feel the joy, shake your booty and put a smile on your face!
To stretch and flex your dancing muscles, we offer a one hour yoga class on Sunday morning taught by yoga teacher and Kahuna goddess Nikki Berry.
After the Sunday Introduction to Permaculture classes, the day is completed by a 2 1/2 hour Farm Tour of the Kendall Permaculture Farm, where you will see the principles and ethics in practice.
You can book in for the entire weekend which includes all meals (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both days, dinner on Saturday night and breakfast on Sunday morning) and camping onsite.
Alternatively you can choose to do
- just the Introduction to Permaculture course (includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on both days)
- just the Marimba Workshop with Hitty Hitty Bang Bang!
- just the Nizami performance (and have a boogie)
- just the Farm Tour
- the Marimba workshop and the Nizami performance with dinner included.
Tickets are on a “Pay what you think it’s worth” basis, aligned with our “by donation” policy.
