Noosa International Surfilm Festival presents the Australian feature premiere of Antarctica – Domain One, the latest documentary from acclaimed filmmakers the Gauchos del Mar brothers, Joaquín and Julián Azulay.
Narrated by Kelly Slater, this powerful new film takes audiences deep into Antarctica through sailing, trekking, surfing, science and conservation, while exploring one of the most fragile and important ecosystems on Earth.
After producing six award-winning films and receiving 66 international awards, the Azulay brothers return with their seventh feature film — a visually stunning and deeply thought-provoking story that blends adventure with urgent environmental themes.

The documentary explores the growing impacts of climate change, industrial fishing pressures on krill populations and the urgent need for Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) to safeguard Antarctica’s future.
Featuring renowned conservationists including Paul Nicklen and Cristina Mittermeier, the film serves as both an immersive cinematic experience and a call to action for ocean conservation.
Audiences can also expect a special live hook-up introduction with filmmaker Julián Azulay broadcast live on the big screen from overseas before the screening.
