Landcare Linkup: Creating a Coastal Wildflower Garden

Learn how to create a resilient coastal wildflower garden that supports local biodiversity and native wildlife with Sarah Lawson at Noosa & District Landcare’s October Landcare Linkup

Join Noosa & District Landcare for its October Landcare Linkup, where presenter Sarah Lawson will explore the important role home gardens can play in supporting the Sunshine Coast’s native plants, wildlife and ecosystems.

Drawing inspiration from the structure and diversity of the region’s surrounding bushland, Sarah will share practical ways gardeners can create spaces that not only look beautiful but also provide habitat for native wildlife and contribute to healthier local ecosystems.

The session will cover practical considerations including site assessment, soil health and selecting locally appropriate native species to suit your garden conditions. Sarah will also discuss plant sourcing and ongoing care, with a focus on creating resilient, low-input gardens that reflect and support the natural environment.

Whether you’re starting a new garden from scratch or looking to enhance an existing space, this session will provide useful ideas and practical insights for creating a garden that works in harmony with nature.
