Nature Play at the Gardens

Nature Play at the Gardens invites children and families to enjoy nature-themed activities and explore the outdoors and Noosa Botanic Gardens.
Nature Play at the Gardens are weekly organised playgroups for children 0 to 6 years old accompanied by a parent or carer. Older siblings are always welcome. The program is led by a qualified nature play and forest school mentor.

Join us to celebrate the seasons and explore Earth’s abundant offerings. Sessions are predominately child-led, interest-based, experiential and in tune with the seasonal rhythms. However, we provide a gentle structure and predictable routine for children’s comfort and familiarity.

Each month following our Growing with Nature program, we explore a different theme through play, storytelling and simple mindfulness practices.

We use simple practices and sensory, play-based activities to awaken our senses to nature. Children and carers can express their experiences creatively through crafts with natural materials.

Activities include sensory play, nature art, storytelling, gardening, sewing, tinkering, preparing food, exploring nature and the opportunity for children to play, explore and discover at their own pace.
