Held along the picturesque Tewantin riverfront, this year’s World Environment Day Festival (WEDFest) aligns with the United Nations Environment Programme’s campaign, ‘Ending Plastic Pollution’, and calls for urgent action to protect our environment, human health and climate from plastic waste.
The 2025 program is presented in partnership with Plastic Free Noosa and features:
- Guest speakers: Simona Paganetto (I’m Plastic Free) and Jennifer Sharpe (Plastic Free Noosa)
- Live music by Roanna Law
- A light show by Herb Fenn
- Documentary screenings of Plastic Unwrapped and Who is Polluting the Ocean
- Upcycled creations from Ploy Plastics
- Plus, opportunities to support a global treaty to tackle plastic pollution
Now in its fourth decade, WEDFest continues to be a much-loved community tradition and a powerful platform for change.
Gold coin donations are welcomed at the gate, with raffle tickets available to help raise funds for future initiatives.
