Terms and Conditions for Noosa Biosphere Reserve Giving Campaign

By participating in the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation Giving Campaign, you agree that you understand these Terms and Conditions.

1. Purpose of the Campaign

  • The Campaign aims to raise funds for Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation-funded projects including but not limited to the projects listed in the donation campaign:
  1. River related programs including Blue Biosphere and Bull Sharks projects;
  2. Glossy Black Cockatoo Bioacoustics Monitoring;
  3. 3 Biosphere Reserve Koala Collaborators project.
  • 100% of the proceeds will go toward these projects, including partially to the administration and management to implement the projects, in line with the mission of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation (approximately 20%).

2. Eligibility

  • Donations are open to individuals, organisations, and entities around the world, except where restricted by law.
  • All donations must be made via the official donation platforms or links shared by Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation on its social media accounts or website.

3. Donor Information and Privacy

  • By donating, you consent to the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation collecting and processing your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. 
  • Donor information will not be publicly disclosed without explicit permission.

4. Use of Funds

  • All donations will be allocated toward implementing and managing three key areas:
  1. River regeneration programs;
  2. Glossy Black Cockatoo Bioacoustics Monitoring project;
  3. Koala Collaborators project.
  • Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation will make reasonable efforts to utilise funds efficiently and transparently.
  • In the case that the projects listed are fully-funded, donations will be pooled and allocated to other similar research projects in the Noosa Shire per the approved program schedule of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation. All approved projects are listed on the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation website.

5. Donation Receipts

  • A receipt will be issued for each donation. For tax-deductible donations, please consult a tax advisor, as eligibility for tax deductions may vary by jurisdiction.
  • Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation is a registered nonprofit organisation in Australia with charitable status.

6. Refund Policy

  • Donations are generally non-refundable. However, if there has been an error in processing, please contact secretariat@noosabiosphere.org.au within 5 days of your donation for assistance. Please allow up to 7 business days for a response.

7. Campaign Period

  • The Campaign will run from 3 December to 20 January, unless extended or shortened at Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation’s discretion. Announcements regarding any changes to the Campaign period will be made on our official social media channels.

8. Social Media Platforms

  • This Campaign is being promoted via META. However, it is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by their platforms.

9. Limitations of Liability

  • Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation is not liable for any technical errors, interruptions, or issues that may affect the processing of donations or access to Campaign information.
  • We are not responsible for any misinterpretation of the Campaign details or the use of our content by third parties.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and social media accounts, and they will take effect immediately upon posting.
