The work they have performed in schools has shown that there is a low understanding of the Noosa Biosphere and the ecosystems which comprise it.
In collaboration with the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation, Noosa EEHub has produced a comprehensive school-based education resource for secondary schools.
The Bioregions Education Resource and Biocultural Leadership program provides curriculum-aligned resources packed with useful data and information about our UNESCO Biosphere Region including Heathland ecosystems, marine environments, getting to know local flora and fauna, and Traditional Custodian perspectives.
This document provides an Australian Curriculum 9.0 aligned education resource for schools to raise awareness of the Biosphere Regions and the work of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation. The resource is designed to promote community awareness and behaviour change.
